General

New York, SANA-Syria’s permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Bassam Sabbagh, said that the Israeli continued occupation of the Arab lands, and its practices against the Arab people in Palestine and Golan represent grave violations of the international law, demanding UNSC to abandon its silence and immediately stop the Israeli recurrent attacks on Syria.

“Our right to restore the occupied Syrian Golan till June 4th, 1967 line is firm, non-negotiable and imprescriptible.. it is guaranteed by all UN relevant resolutions, particularly No. 497,” Sabbagh said in a statement at UN Security Council session about the situation in the Middle East.

“The Israeli occupation forces are repeatedly launching direct attacks on Syrian lands to weaken the Syrian army’s capability to combat terrorist organizations… lately the Israeli entity deliberately targeted the civilian utilities, including ports and airports, posing threat to the souls of civilians,” Sabbagh added.
