Abu dhabi: The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has announced that pension payments totaling AED811,585,992 will be disbursed on Friday, October 25. This figure marks a significant increase of AED70,542,046 compared to the same period last year when the amount distributed was AED741,043,946.
According to Emirates News Agency, a total of 49,102 pensioners and beneficiaries are scheduled to receive payments for October 2024. This represents a rise of 1,943 eligible recipients compared to the previous year, which had 47,159 pensioners and beneficiaries. The pension expenses involve civilians under the Federal Pension and Social Security Law No. (7) of 1999 and its amendments. Additionally, the GPSSA manages the files of pensioners and beneficiaries on behalf of the Ministry of Finance in accordance with applicable pension laws.
