The killing of two Palestinians at the hands of Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank was highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.

One was killed yesterday during an early morning army assault on Aqbat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho and the other died of wounds sustained during an Israeli army attack on Jenin refugee camp on Tuesday which led to the killing of three other youths.

The dailies also said Israel issued two dozen stop-work and construction orders in the West Bank as confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers continue on the Gaza border fence with Israel and in the West Bank, along with Israeli settlers attacking foreign diplomats on a fact-finding mission at a Bedouin community under threat of displacement east of Ramallah.

Al-Quds daily highlighted the interview with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman with Fox News in which he said that the Palestinian issue is central to any normalization of relations with Israel.

It also said US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the checks and balances among authorities, Iran, and the two-state solution during their meeting in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

It said 11 bills to annex 30 percent of the West Bank are going to be introduced to the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, after the Jewish holidays.

Al-Ayyam daily quoted Peace Now saying that the Netanyahu government advanced plans to build 13,638 housing units in West Bank settlements and 18,223 units in settlements in occupied Jerusalem.

It also said that Hamas employees in Gaza are upset after reducing the percentage of their salaries.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida daily said President Mahmoud Abbas held talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting with his Brazilian counterpart.
