The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development participated in the activities of the second workshop on the Arab classification of disability organized by the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, the Arab League and the Ministry of Social Development and Family in the State of Qatar.
The Ministry’s delegation was headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Social Rehabilitation Dr. Aseel bint Najeeb Al-Abdulkarim.
During the workshop, Dr. Al-Abdulkarim reviewed the Kingdom’s experience in developing the methodology and methods of a comprehensive assessment of disability, which includes the assessments of the health and social capabilities as well as the work capacity, where the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development leads coordination and cooperation among the government agencies in the Kingdom to empower people with disabilities, in accordance with the Kingdom Vision 2030.
