Mild Autumn Weather Expected Across Jordan Over Weekend

General

Amman: The forecast for the weekend anticipates mild autumn conditions across Jordan, with temperatures expected to be 4 to 5 degrees below the seasonal average. Most regions will experience pleasant weather, with the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba enjoying particularly moderate conditions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Meteorological Department has advised citizens to dress warmly during early mornings and evenings due to potential frost in the Badia and high-altitude mountains of Sharah. There is also a warning for reduced visibility caused by dust in the Badia regions, as southeasterly winds with occasional gusts are expected.

On Thursday, eastern Amman will see temperatures ranging from 21 to 10 degrees Celsius, while western Amman will experience slightly cooler conditions between 19 and 8 degrees Celsius. The northern highlands will have temperatures between 18 and 8 degrees Celsius, and the Sharah mountains will be colder at 17 to 7 degrees Celsius. The Badia will experience tem
peratures from 23 to 9 degrees Celsius, and the plains will see a range of 21 to 10 degrees Celsius. In contrast, the northern Jordan Valley will be warmer with temperatures between 29 and 17 degrees Celsius, and the southern valley will reach 31 to 20 degrees Celsius. Both the Dead Sea and Aqaba are expected to have temperatures around 30 to 18 degrees Celsius.

As the weekend progresses, Friday will continue with mild autumn conditions and comfortable temperatures throughout most regions. High clouds may appear, with moderate southeasterly winds and periods of dust, particularly in the Badia. Saturday will see a slight increase in temperatures, though the autumn atmosphere will remain pleasant across the Kingdom. Moderate weather is expected in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, accompanied by some mid-level cloud cover and occasional southeasterly winds.

By Sunday, a further minor rise in temperatures is anticipated, leading to mild conditions in the highlands and moderate weather in other areas. Mid-lev
el clouds are likely to persist, with moderate easterly winds that may strengthen in the Badia.
