Jordan Meteorological Department Forecasts Mild Weather and Spotty Showers

Amman, Jordan – Jordanians can expect moderate temperatures and partially to mostly cloudy skies on Sunday, as per the Jordan Meteorological Department’s (JMD) latest weather update.

According to Jordan News Agency, scattered rainfall is expected in the northern parts of the country, with a possibility of extending into some central areas. Thunderstorms might occur intermittently in the north. The region will experience moderate-speed northeasterly winds, which may periodically strengthen. On Monday, the mild temperatures will persist, accompanied by medium and high-level cloud coverage. There is a potential for light and scattered rain showers across different regions, with southeasterly winds blowing at a moderate pace.

As Tuesday approaches, a noticeable drop in temperatures is anticipated, with weather conditions ranging from partly to mostly cloudy. Rainfall is expected in the north and central regions, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, and may extend to the southwestern areas. The region will see moderate-speed northwesterly winds, with occasional increases in intensity.

Today’s peak temperatures are forecasted to be between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, dropping to lows of 13 or 11C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will experience hotter weather, with highs of 30C and lows of 19C.
