AMMAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi condemned Israel’s actions in northern Gaza, describing them as “inhumane” and calling for decisive international intervention.

According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi, in a post on his official X account, characterized the situation as “pure evil and a war crime that humanity should not tolerate.” He urged for immediate international action, including the imposition of an arms embargo and effective sanctions, to halt what he described as a massacre.

Safadi accused Israel of “starving hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, bombing entire neighborhoods out of existence, burning displaced children in tents, and destroying hospitals.” He alleged that these actions were part of a strategy to terrorize and displace the population from their homeland. He implored the Security Council and the international community to prevent what he termed a “barbaric crime” from continuing.

The foreign minister criticized the internationa
l community’s response, stating, “Failure to stop this massacre is a shame on the whole international community.” He attributed Israel’s continued actions to a lack of accountability, emphasizing that “the impunity must end.”

Safadi further insisted that “Israeli occupation forces should not be allowed to burn any more Palestinian children alive, should not be allowed to commit any more murders, and destroy any more schools or hospitals.” He called for the international community to uphold international law and protect innocent lives.
