DUBAI: Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Marine Sports Federation, has emphasized the significant role the federation plays in advancing the Ministry of Sports’ strategic vision for the future of athletics in the UAE. His comments came during the “Future of Sports Retreat” in Dubai, aimed at building a sustainable and innovative sports ecosystem.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the necessity for synergy among sports federations, stating the UAE Marine Sports Federation’s commitment to nurturing young talent through initiatives at schools and universities. He stressed the importance of developing programs to equip emerging athletes with skills for international competition and collaborating with educational institutions to promote a sports culture.
Sheikh Mohammed pointed out the federation’s work with public and private sectors to implement key programs that enhance the UAE’s global sports standing. He stated that the retreat’s outcomes woul
d form the basis for future initiatives focused on youth empowerment, professional development, and promoting an active lifestyle.
