Israeli Warplanes Conduct Series of Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon

Tyre: Israeli warplanes launched multiple airstrikes on towns across southern Lebanon today, targeting residential areas and reportedly causing injuries. The airstrikes hit a range of localities including Shuhour, Maaraka, Arabsalim, and several towns within the Bint Jbeil and Baalbek districts.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Israeli aircraft first targeted homes in the towns of Shuhour and Maaraka. Injuries were reported in these strikes. Subsequently, the town of Arabsalim faced four airstrikes aimed at residential neighborhoods, escalating tensions in the region.

The series of attacks continued with airstrikes on Shebaa, followed by Kounine in the Bint Jbeil district. The National News Agency correspondent in Marjeyoun reported that the town of Khiyam was also targeted with four separate raids, indicating a broad and coordinated assault pattern.

Further strikes were reported in the Tyre region, where Israeli warplanes conducted two raids on the town of Majdel Zoun as well as the communal a
reas of the towns of Mansouri-Majdel Zoun. Additional attacks included a raid on the town of Yater and another on Al-Ansar town near Baalbek.

This afternoon, another strike targeted the area between the towns of Jebchit and Ebba, marking a continued escalation in aerial assaults across southern Lebanon. The repeated targeting of residential areas has raised alarms over potential civilian casualties and the broader implications for regional stability.
