Mutah University Achieves 60th Place in QS 2025 Arab University Rankings

AMMAN: Mutah University has achieved a significant milestone by ranking 60th among Arab universities in the QS 2025 rankings, out of a total of 246 participating universities. This places the university in the top 24 percent of Arab institutions of higher education, as reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

According to Jordan News Agency, Salameh Al-Naimat, President of Mutah University, emphasized the importance of the ranking, noting that 24 Jordanian universities were part of this year’s evaluation. The QS 2025 ranking saw an increase in participation, with 25 new Arab universities joining, bringing the total to 246, up from 223 the previous year. The ranking is based on ten key criteria, including academic reputation, career reputation, student-faculty ratio, and international research collaboration, among others.

Al-Naimat highlighted the university’s commitment to expanding its academic and research partnerships with Arab and international institutions. He also noted efforts to invest in modern
education and promote leadership, innovation, and sustainable development values within the university community.

Osama Al-Mohawesh, Dean of Scientific Research, pointed out the university’s focus on enhancing scientific research through publication incentives, encouraging international research cooperation, updating regulations, and adopting modern teaching methods. The university aims to offer specializations that align with labor market needs.
