AMMAN: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Jordan has successfully evacuated 12 Jordanians from Lebanon using a Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) military aircraft. This operation is part of a larger effort to ensure the safe return of Jordanian nationals amid escalating regional tensions.

According to Jordan News Agency, this evacuation marks the deployment of the fifth RJAF plane dedicated to evacuating Jordanian citizens from Lebanon. To date, 114 individuals have been safely transported back to Jordan, facilitated by a registration system available through the Jordanian Embassy’s e-platform in Lebanon. This initiative is part of a comprehensive plan developed in collaboration with the Jordanian Armed Forces, security agencies, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.

Sufyan Al-Qudah, spokesperson for the ministry, highlighted that since the beginning of August, 3,353 Jordanians have returned to the Kingdom from Lebanon through Queen Alia Interna
tional Airport, in addition to those arriving via land through the Jaber Border Center. The Jordanian Embassy continues to assist citizens wishing to evacuate by both air and land routes, ensuring their safe return through Syria. Al-Qudah emphasized that the Jordanian community in Lebanon is safe, with no reported injuries.

The ministry urges any Jordanians wishing to leave Lebanon to register on the e-platform and to contact the ministry or the Jordanian Embassy for round-the-clock assistance using the contact details provided.
