AMMAN: Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli military’s recent attacks on three hospitals located in the Gaza Strip, describing them as blatant violations of international law.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry highlighted that these attacks contravene the Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 1949, and are viewed as an extension of ongoing war crimes against Palestinians. The ministry’s spokesperson, Dr. Sufian Qudah, expressed the Kingdom’s strong disapproval of the assaults on the Indonesian Hospital, Al-Awda Hospital, and Al-Shifa Medical Hospital, labeling them as barbaric.

The Ministry emphasized the responsibility of Israel for ensuring the safety of civilians and medical personnel in the affected hospitals. It condemned not only the attacks on medical facilities but also the systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure crucial for providing essential services to the Palestinian population.

Dr
. Qudah called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill its legal and ethical obligations by taking a decisive stance to halt the ongoing Israeli military aggression in Gaza. He urged for immediate international action to offer protection to the Palestinian people and hold accountable those responsible for violations against them.

The statement also stressed the need for safeguarding civilians, humanitarian workers, and health facilities, as well as stopping the continued breaches of international law by Israel.
