JOUNIEH: A vehicle carrying two individuals was targeted by an Israeli drone, leading to a significant explosion on the western Jounieh highway. The incident prompted a swift response from ambulances and civil defense teams, as they rushed to the scene to manage the emergency.
According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the Traffic Management Center reported that the explosion resulted in the blockage of traffic on the western side of the Jounieh highway in the Sahel Alma area. In response, authorities redirected traffic to the seaside road to alleviate congestion and facilitate the rescue efforts.
The attack involved three missiles striking the vehicle near the l’abeille d’or store on the Jounieh highway. Emergency services are currently engaged in extinguishing the fires caused by the explosion and ensuring the safety of the area. The event has caused significant disruptions, highlighting ongoing regional tensions.
