Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour discussed on Sunday 11/12/2022 cooperation between the two ministries and means to develop the International Awqaf Academy (IAA).
The meeting is held upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the importance of grooming imams capable of leading public opinion into a moderate religious discourse.
Minister Gomaa said the academy opens its doors for training imams from various countries, adding that preachers from Sudan, Burkina Faso and Palestine joined it.
He pointed out that training courses started at the Islamic Broadcasting Union for trainees from India, Algeria and Tanzania.
