Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli presided over on Tuesday 5/4/2022 a meeting of the coordinating council for monetary and financial policies in the presence of Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt Tarek Amer and Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait.
Cabinet spokesman Nader Saad said the participants shed light on the importance of following up the current developments in the international arena and their direct and indirect effects on Egypt.
According to the spokesman, the meeting also tackled recent monetary and financial measures to provide foreign currency at Egyptian banks and the high demands by Egyptians on purchasing 18 percent interest rate one-year investment certificates offered by the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr.
