PM follows up on efforts to develop Sharm El-Sheikh city for hosting COP27

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli affirmed the necessity of coordination among various ministries and bodies to develop Sharm El-Sheikh city and help it to be at its the best for hosting the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) in November.

 

This comes in accordance with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives for ensuring the success of COP27, Madbouli said.

 

The prime minister made the remarks during a meeting he held on Thursday 31/3/2022 to follow up on the efforts being made to upgrade the Red Sea resort city in the presence of Yasser Essam and Tareq Sobhi, the chief development consultants.

 

During the meeting, the two consultants reviewed a thorough report about the studies conducted on different roads and squares, especially those leading up to Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport and the International Convention Center (SHICC).

 

Development works in the city are carried out in coordination with the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.
